Launch by Jeff Walker
This week I listened to Launch by Jeff Walker. While I have been learning about business, especially indie publishing, from Product Launch Formula (PLF) devotees, I hadn’t ever learned anything directly from Jeff Walker.
It was amazing to me how so many things made it through the telephone/rumor mill to my ears. But I quickly learned from Walker’s book the WHY behind doing all of the tasks that I had performed. And I think that’ll make all of the difference. Understanding why always helps when you get down to the how.
While, yes, I’ve been evaluating my recently failed course launch, I’ve also been re-thinking how best to use what I learned to sell books for my authors. I’ve been evaluating how best to take my standard book launch calendar and tweak it to incorporate more of the PLF system so that it’ll be more effective.
My brain is spinning with new information, and I think it’ll take me another month or two to finish processing all of this and incorporating it into everything I do.
In other words, if you never buy PLF or anything else from Jeff Walker, just having this book could radically change how you structure your author business.
