The best customer experience ever?
After seven years of being a continuity editor, five years of being a full-time author assistant, and two years of steady audiobook proofing work, what exactly is my best customer experience ever?
There are just so many. I could tell you about the time that someone emailed me and told me, “You saved my bacon. And the ribs. And the pork butt too.” 🐖
I could tell you about the time(s) I got called out in someone’s newsletter for loving to play with spreadsheets. 📶 (The fact that it’s happened multiple times by multiple authors should tell you something.)
I could tell you about the time that one of my authors was being interviewed, named me as their secret weapon, and then immediately recanted and told everyone to not call me, ever because they wanted me all to themselves. 😂
It’s a bit hard to pick my favorite experience. But there’s one I’ll never, ever, ever forget. The very first time an author dedicated a book to me:
Sure, sure, she also dedicated it to her husband and co-author. But I was third. 😆 And since it was the first time that’s ever happened…it was very, very special.
What about you? What was your best reader or customer experience?

Hello! I’m Adriel Wiggins, wife, mother of three, bibliophile, art geek, and all around student. I’ve been on a quest all of my life to learn as much as I possibly can about everything I possibly can. This has helped me tremendously in what eventually became my life’s purpose: to help other people become the best version of themselves. It is in that line that I became an assistant.
